Day 1 – Excavation and Groundwork
We excavated the driveway area, removed all waste and installed a Geotech membrane to help suppress weed growth. A MOT Type 1 sub-base was then laid and compacted in layers to create a stable foundation.
Day 2 – Kerbs and Edging
We installed a new pathway, reinforced 6-inch kerbs across the driveway entrance, KS kerbs along the left-hand side and block edging on the right, secured in a wet concrete bed.
Day 3 – Decorative Block Paving Border
A charcoal and natural-coloured Tegula block paving border was installed around the perimeter, creating an attractive contrast with the planned tarmac surface.
Day 4 – SMA Tarmac Installation
We laid SMA tarmac across the driveway and vibrated and rolled it to achieve a smooth, level finish. The dark SMA tarmac contrasts beautifully with the charcoal and natural Tegula block paving border, creating a smart, defined finish that enhances the property’s kerb appeal.
