Yes, we are happy to make suggestions for your patio design.  We'll need to visit and look at the outdoor space, understand what you'd like to use it for, and any special requirements you may have.  It can also be helpful to have an understanding of your budget.

It's a good idea to have a look online for some inspiration for your new patio and paving project.  Consider the different types of materials used for patios.  Do you have a preference for a particular type of patio surface?

Looking for a low-maintenance garden patio?  If low maintenance is your key consideration for choosing a surface for your new garden patio, then you may want to consider porcelain paving.  Porcelain is stain-resistant, easy to clean and durable.

Alernatives include resin, which offers a smooth weed-free finish, or concrete slabs for minimal upkeep.

Yes, proper drainage is required for a garden patio as this will prevent standing water and damage to your patio and your property.  As part of our landscaping survey, Landmark Landscapes will assess your outdoor space and design and install your new patio area with a gentle slope so the water runs off away from your property. When installing drainage, we use ACO Drainage systems, which are discreet drainage channels which collect water and direct it to a drain or soakaway.

A well-installed garden patio can last between 20 and 30 years; however, this depends on the type of materials used and the maintenance.  Other factors are the quality of the installation, including a solid base, proper drainage, and the quality of the materials.
