Tarmac Driveway Installers

Experienced and Trusted Tarmac Specialists

Tarmac is a very popular surfacing option for sprucing up that tired drive. It combines hard stone with a bitumen compound that binds the stone creating a hard wearing impermeable surface.

Tarmac is also a great choice for the maintenance free and ease of use, once your tarmac driveway has been laid, you’ll never have to worry about it again for at least 20 years. Many of our tarmac driveways can be seen throughout Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Stourbridge, and Worcester.

Prevention is the best option. Using your driveway carefully and maintaining it properly will keep it in great condition and hopefully avoid the need for a repair, however if you do damage your tarmac drive please get in touch and we'll see if we can help.  It is possible to repair a tarmac drive, but it depends on the quality of the original installation, the materials used, the overall condition of the drive, and the type and extent of the damage.  Each case is different, and we'd need to take a look at the damage.

Please call Landmark Driveways for help and advice.

Yes, it is possible to extend a tarmac drive, and whilst we'll do our best to extend the driveway sensitively, the success of matching the original part of the drive often depends on the age and condition of the original surface. There are a few options when you want to extend a tarmac drive, and we can explain them to you and provide prices for you to consider.

Installing a new tarmac drive offers many benefits. Tarmacadam and tarmac are cost-effective driveway surface solutions with a quick installation time.   It is strong and durable and able to withstand heavy loads.  Tarmac is also weather-resistant and low-maintenance.  Tarmac is available in different colours and is aesthetically pleasing, particularly when finished with a decorative block-paved entrance pattern or border.

Once your new tarmac drive is completed, you must stay off it for a minimum of 2-3 days and sometimes longer in hot weather.   We'll let you know when you can drive or park on it when we finish work.

Avoid spillages and chemicals such as oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, fuel, paint and unsuitable cleaning materials.  If you do spill anything on your driveway, clean it up immediately, and if in doubt, contact us for advice.

Keep your tarmac drive free of debris.  We recommend sweeping it regularly with a broom.  You can clean your tarmac driveway with low-pressure water, but avoid harsh, high-power jet washing as this may damage the surface.

Be careful with skips or heavy loads.  We recommend you protect the tarmac before a skip delivery by using scaffolding planks or wood to distribute the weight and protect the surface.

Drive carefully on your tarmac drive.  Avoid turning heavy vehicles as stationary turning or wheel spinning on tarmac, particularly new tarmac can cause scuffs and damage.

We also recommend that you regularly inspect your tarmac driveway for damage and contact us for any repairs.

A professionally installed tarmac drive with good groundwork preparation and appropriate drainage is less likely to get weeds. It's also important to ensure your drive is well-maintained.  Keeping your driveway debris-free and regularly sweeping it with a broom will also help keep weeds at bay, as any soil or dirt on the surface could provide a place for weeds to grow.

The first part of the process for getting a new tarmac drive is having a driveway survey completed by the experienced team at Landmark Driveways.  The survey and quote are free, and we will talk to you about what you'd like, any ideas you have, and any suggestions or observations we may have.  We will also assess your project for driveway drainage requirements.  Ensuring adequate and appropriate drainage is installed protects your property, the new driveway installation and will avoid any standing water on your new driveway.  Where required, we will install drainage as sensitively and discreetly as possible, whilst ensuring the drainage is effective.  The type of drainage system we use is called ACO Drainage.

At Landmark Driveways we only use the finest quality materials when we install a new tarmac driveway.  We have been professionally installing tarmac drives for more than 20 years and pride ourselves on thorough preparation, high-quality materials and outstanding workmanship.  This means that the tarmac driveways we install are built to last.  In our experience, you can expect a professionally installed tarmac drive to last typically between 15 to 20 years, and possibly longer, however this is dependent on several factors such as the quality of the initial installation, the materials used, the amount of use the driveways gets, the weather conditions, and, of course, the level of maintenance.

All work completed by Landmark Driveways comes with a 10-year guarantee.

Yes, we often install block paved entrance patterns and borders for tarmac driveways.  Adding a block paved feature to an otherwise plain tarmac drive adds detail and elevates the appearance and kerb appeal of your property.  A border, driveway entrance pattern, or feature can be added using block pavers or tumble paving in complementary or contrasting colours.  There are many examples of entrance patterns and borders on our website, and we are happy to show you examples or make suggestions for a design.
