We recently completed a large block-paved driveway at a traditional property in St. Peters, Worcester. It’s an impressive space, and the finished result suits the style of the house perfectly while providing a strong, practical surface for everyday use.
The new blocked paving driveway installation in Worcester was laid in a 45-degree herringbone pattern, a popular choice for driveways because of both its appearance and durability. The interlocking design helps the blocks stay firmly in place, making it ideal for handling regular vehicle traffic.
To frame the driveway and add definition, we installed a double charcoal block, followed by a single natural pin stripe and finished off with a single charcoal pin stripe to complete the layout. These borders create a clean, sharp finish and help give the driveway a well-structured look. The existing flower beds were retained, and small charcoal kerbstone risers were added to form neat raised edges. The kerbstones not only look smart but also provide strong edge restraint to keep everything secure.
As with every Landmark Driveways project, the groundwork was carried out thoroughly. The area was fully excavated, a solid MOT Type 1 sub-base was installed and compacted in layers, and a geotextile membrane was fitted to help prevent weed growth. This ensures the driveway is built for long-term performance and will continue to look good for years to come.
